The Unione Musicale Ciociara (UMC) announces the XXII «La Bacchetta d'oro» Band Competition on 5, 6 and 7 May 2023 , open to national ensembles and from the European Union. In this edition, the winning works of the Original Composition Award for Band "La Bacchetta d'Oro" (July - 2021) will be included as a "Obligation Piece". INTERNATIONAL WIND ORCHESTRA CONDUCTING CONTEST in Bétera (Spain) 24th to 28th November 2022.  The registration is now open for all the conductors until September 16,2022  One of the most important trophies is the possibility to conduct some of the main professionals wind orchestra of Spain, like Banda Municipal de Valencia, Banda Municipal de Madrid and more… 1st Prize 4000€, 2nd Prize 2000€ and 1000€ 3rd Prize. During the WASBE conference in Prague, the compositions of the finalists of the 3rd WASBE Composition Contest were performed and the 1st prizes were awarded. In category 1 (difficulty 1-2) we congratulate very warmly J. Aaron Stanley (USA) for a 1st place with his composition "Deep Space Voyage". In category 2 (difficulty level 3-4) we congratulate very warmly Derek Jenkins (USA) for a 1st place with his composition "Rock Bottom".
