During the WASBE conference in Prague, the compositions of the finalists of the 3rd WASBE Composition Contest were performed and the 1st prizes were awarded.
In category 1 (difficulty 1-2) we congratulate very warmly J. Aaron Stanley (USA) for a 1st place with his composition “Deep Space Voyage”.
In category 2 (difficulty level 3-4) we congratulate very warmly Derek Jenkins (USA) for a 1st place with his composition “Rock Bottom”.
In category 3 (difficulty level 5-6) we congratulate Julien Meisenzahl (Germany) for his 1st place with the composition “Orchester-Sonate No.2”.
The works will be available exclusively to WASBE members in the next few weeks for a period of one year.
We had so many excellent entries. Thank you to all the composers who participated in the contest. And many thanks to our jurors, who were internationally prominent. In addition to members of the WASBE Board, these included Yasuhide Ito (Japan) and Giovanni Santos (USA).
