The National Band Association will be hosting the 2019 Young Composers/Conductors Mentor Project on June 17-21, 2019, in Washington, D.C. at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling. Their hosts for the event, and ensemble-in-residence, will be the United States Air Force Band.
Talented young composers and conductors can apply to be a part of this unique opportunity. Individuals selected to participate will work one-on-one with accomplished mentors throughout the week. Composer participants will have their music performed by the United States Air Force Band, while conducting participants will have the opportunity to conduct this outstanding ensemble.
Conducting Mentors for the 2019 YCCMP will be Dr. Linda Moorhouse, Professor H. Robert Reynolds, and Lt. Col. Donald Schofield, with Professor Paula Crider coordinating.
Composer Mentors for the 2019 YCCMP will be Mr. Brian Balmages, Dr. Frank Ticheli, and Mr. Mark Camphouse.
