Guest clinicians Michael Haithcock (University of Michigan) and David Vandewalker (Harrison High School in Cobb County, Ga.) will join me and my colleagues David McKee and Polly Middleton from Sunday, July 8, through Wednesday, July 11, on the Virginia Tech campus in Blacksburg.
There are 18 spots for conducting participants and an unlimited number of spots for non-conducting participants. We also offer a fellowship program for a limited number of music education majors and graduate students. For only $100, they participate in all activities, conduct once in a fellows-only session and once with the full ensemble, and get a taste of what the Institute offers... as well as meet and interact with working music educators in the conducting and non-conducting participant tracks.
